Hey everyone!
Today I’m sharing a few favorite high-end, luxury makeup items that I feel are worth the big bucks! This is by no means a list of all of my favorite high end beauty items but just a few that I have been loving lately. Do share your luxury beauty favorites in the comments section below!
1. Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation (Rs 3000)
This is my favorite foundation and that is saying something because I’ve tried a ton of them! Its a classic liquid foundation – neither too runny nor too thick which gives medium-high coverage and a flawless natural finish. It makes my skin look amazing every time and it stays put throughout the day without oxidising or turning greasy on my skin. It photographs really well too which is why its perfect for special occasions, especially weddings. Highly recommended! Full review here.
2. YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Lipsticks ($37)
I couldn’t NOT mention the YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks here. They are simply the prettiest lipsticks around (look at the gorgeous gold packaging!) and the formula is wonderful. The classic range is creamier while the Shine range has a glossier finish and a slightly sheerer formula. It still packs on plenty of pigment and gives a gorgeous, luscious look to the lips. The formula is buttery soft and it hydrates better than any lip balm I’ve used. It also smells like mango which happens to be my favorite fruit! If you like pinks, do check out #17 Rose in Tension. See full review here.
3. Illamasqua Naked Rose Blush (Rs 2200)
Naked Rose by Illamasqua is the perfect everyday pink blush and I’ve been getting a lot of wear out of this lately. The texture is very fine and silky, the color pay off is just right so you don’t go overboard and the color stays really well. The matte finish looks like second skin and doesn’t look dry or powdery. The blush blends with hardly any effort and that is what makes this a stellar product! Full review here.
4. Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Mascara (Rs 2300)
This is the most I’ve ever spent on a mascara but I would do it again because this mascara is THAT good! I love that the brush is not humungous but it adds incredible volume, giving almost a false lash effect to the lashes. The formula doesn’t flake off but isn’t difficult to take off at the end of the day. I love dramatic lashes and this is the most dramatic mascara I’ve used. Crazy expensive for a mascara but the results are fabulous! Read full review here.
5. NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer ($44)
This is one of my favorite bases of all time and I rationing mine currently as NARS isn’t available in India. Its a creamy, light-weight tinted moisturizer that gives sheer coverage and yet manages to give a very healthy and beautiful look to the skin. The finish is slightly dewy but I do not mind powdering my T-zone through the day because it makes my skin look fantastic. The shade range is quite good and if you want something that looks like skin while adding light coverage, do check this out! It has broad spectrum sun protection, is oil-free, non-comedogenic and contains a host of skin loving ingredients. Highly recommended! Full review here.
