Hi everyone!

Today I’m sharing some of my favorite high end blushes with you. I think each of the shades I’ve picked out here are very flattering for Indian complexions and I find myself reaching for these over and over again. Don’t forget to share your favorites in the comments below!

1. MAC Matte Blush : Melba

Melba is a one of the best blushes for Indian complexions in my opinion. Its a dusty peach color that is neither too peachy nor too earth toned and adds just the right amount of color to the cheeks. The matte formula is smooth and easy to blend, gives a natural looking finish and stays well. One of most loved MAC blushes for sure!

2. MAC Satin Blush : Fleur Power

If memory serves me right, this was my first MAC blush and one that I’ve recommended to countless people. If you’re looking for a pretty pink, look no further. This one of the shades that look fantastic on all complexions. The color is brightening but not too bright and livens up the face. If you’re feeling tired, this is the blush that would brighten up a dull complexion and add a rosy glow to the cheeks. The formula is soft and smooth, blends with ease and well pigmented so its best to use a light hand for application. The satin finish looks natural and the color stays on quite well too.

3. Clinique Cheek Pop Blush : Peach Pop

This is a beautiful rich peach color that looks fantastic on all complexions but definitely a stunner on medium-deep skin. The formula is one of the best! It feels velvety smooth, almost a bit creamy though its definitely a powder. You barely need any effort to blend it, it goes on like a dream. The color builds up easily so you can tailor the intensity. Its one of the longest wearing blushes I own, staying 8+ hours on the cheeks. Pairs perfectly with any warm lip color. Highly recommended!

4. NARS Blush : Torrid

Torrid is a beautiful peachy-orange-coral shade with just a smidgen of gold shimmer. It adds a beautiful warmth and the color looks fantastic on medium to deep skin. NARS blushes are known for their stellar formula and this is no exception. Its a silky, fine powder, well pigmented but not overly so and goes on beautifully on the skin. The staying power is excellent as well. The only downside is the rubberised packaging which loses its sheen quickly and get dirty over time.

5. Illamasqua Powder Blush : Naked Rose

I was introduced to this blush just last year and it became an instant favourite. I have used and loved Illamasqua blushes before – Hussy is a gorgeous pink (mine unfortunately shattered), Lover is a lovely true peach and Sophie is a beautiful shimmery coral. But Naked Rose is the perfect safe pink for my medium complexion that I can slap on with anything and it just works! Its a soft dusty pink, looks a bit weak in the pan but adds a healthy, natural pink color to the cheeks. The formula is amazing – its a silky smooth matte that blends with a touch of the brush and doesn’t give a dry, powdery finish to the skin. Its expensive and not easy to get (unless you’re ready to pay International shipping and brave the customs fee) but if you get a chance to try this out, do give it a go!

I wanted to add Chanel Cream Blush in Revelation to my list but I just couldn’t find it to photograph it! But I’ve reviewed it a while back and you can read my review HERE.

From this list, you can see that I tend to go for pinks and peachier tones and I don’t have any earth tones in this list. I do like my earth tones but only when I’m wearing earthier shades on the lips and cheeks. I generally gravitate towards the perkier shades as they work for my complexion and I like how they add a freshness to the face. If you prefer warmer, earthier blushes, here are my recommendations from MACGingerly and Coppertone if you’re looking for mattes and Margin and Sunbasque if you like a shimmer finish. NARS has some fantastic colors as well such as Dolce Vita, Lovejoy and Lustre (to name just a few!) which are a bit more neutral and look great on Indian complexions!

Have you tried any of the blushes from my list?
